runDisney Marathon Weekend 2022: Course Maps, Event Guide, Start Groups/Corrals and more!
Why do we make this post every year when runDisney shares the info as well? Because, as they say, screenshots last forever.
And runners like to look back on previous courses and corrals and obsess a little.
You know it’s true!
We do this for all the runDisney events; so hang around if you’re looking for the Ultimate Guide to runDisney.
So here we go: our annual guide to running runDisney’s Marathon Weekend.
You’ll find all the information a runner needs to know before the runDisney Marathon Weekend 2022 including course maps, start groups, waivers, and event guide.
This is a living document, so information will be added as it comes out.

Marathon Weekend 2022 Waivers and Runner Tracking
Download your waiver HERE.
The Waivers do not have bib numbers or corral information any longer.
You’ll go to your runDisney Dashboard to find the documents to sign.

Please note: you can do this digitally this year! You do not need to print and bring it to the Expo if you sign digitally.
The Expo Pass (see below) is what you’ll need to show to pick up your bibs and T-shirts.
Here’s the tracking link so you can follow your runner on the course.
Put their name in search, choose how you want to be notified, and you’ll know how the run is going if you are following from home.

Mask Requirements At runDisney Marathon Weekend Races

At this time, there are NO mask requirements for any participants in the Marathon weekend races.
You will not need to wear them in the corrals or at the finish as you do at some other races around the country.
You will need to wear them at the runDisney Expo indoors at the time of this writing. If it changes, we will update with the new policy.
As a reminder:
- Face Coverings at Walt Disney World
- Face coverings are required for Guests in all indoor locations, regardless of vaccination status, including the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo, medical tent, theme park restrooms and in Disney buses, monorails and Disney Skyliner.
- For more information, see the most updated face covering requirements.
runDisney Marathon Weekend 2022 Corrals and Start Groups
**New for 2022!**
runDisney will be utilizing Start Groups to follow health and safety guidelines and manage the flow of participants from the staging area to the start of the race. Your start group designation is a small “s” followed by a number (such as s1, s2, s3, s4) and is located in the upper corner of your bib.
Bib numbers can be found on the Expo Pass, but at this time there is not a Corral chart to reference. We’ll be working on one after the event to hopefully reference for next year.
You can use the 2020 corrals as a guide for this year’s race.
For the 2022 Marathon Weekend races, the Start Groups truly looked like the previous Corral setup.
We just used numbers rather than letters.
If this changes in future races, we’ll let you know.
But as of this race, if you are familiar with how the runDisney corral system worked in the past, then you will know exactly how the system is working now.
They changed the name to Start Groups and gave us numbers, but that really was the only difference noted.
Mini-waves are still being used inside each start group and those are not pre-determined or selected. If you want to be in an earlier wave, get to your start group when it opens.

Our most favorite thing runDisney has ever done was the change to PhotoPass photographers for a runDisney race weekend.
Huge improvement in service and quality of photos since they started this- much appreciated!

They can’t be linked in advance, so just remember to link up post-race or the morning of the race.
