When will runDisney Princess Half Marathon weekend Corrals/Waivers/Course Maps/Event Guides drop?

ETA: NOW! January 31, 2020 SEE BELOW!

That just depends. The official line is 2 weeks before the race, but they’ve come out at the end of January, beginning of February over the past years.

Here’s a reminder of how things work each year:

Typically the runDisney event guides show up first, with the course maps included. You can also find some information on corralling inside the event guides (usually an indication of how many corrals will be set up for each race distance, but no details on placement).

If you want to check out what happened last year, here are the 2019 Princess Half Marathon Corrals, Waivers, Course Maps & Event Guide to give you some idea of what to expect.

  1. Hey!! So this is my first rundisney half marathon… well my first half marathon in general. I anticipate finishing around 2:20 but I forgot to submit my proof of time so I’m in the last corral. My question is how far apart do the corrals start? Do we all need to arrive at the same time or is there any chance I’ll be able to get a few more minutes of sleep? Thanks! Going to listen to your podcast on my last long run tomorrow, 10 miles!

    1. Hope your long run went well, Chloe!

I don’t think it’s worth trying to grab a little extra sleep since they load the corrals early- and in recent years have been closing car traffic into the Epcot parking lot as well. You don’t want to be stressed about traffic either on the bus or in a private car for the race morning. IMO, you’d be better off showing up to try to get to the front of the last corral since you are speedy. That way you’ll have a little room to run and maybe more space in the beginning.

But if you want to try sleeping in, it’s generally 1 hour from start to finish for all corrals to go off. First ones at 5:30am, last one usually starts somewhere around 6:20-6:30 with the balloon ladies starting a few minutes after that! GOOD LUCK and have fun!

      1. What time should we up trying to get on the bus? Staying at animal kingdom Kidani. We’re in a similar spot. No time do we are in F. Trained to finish under 2. With this many runners, does it ever thin out?

        1. Oh- I don’t think it will ever totally thin out- but you’ll do yourself the most good by NOT stopping for pictures. If you skip all of them, you might be able to get ahead a bit from people who are stopping.

I’d be out to the corrals as early as they open- which is usually 4:30- so you can be in the front of the corral. Get a little head start right when the fireworks go off to get away from the big corral behind you. Good luck!
