Training for a marathon can be scary. It probably should be scary, I mean, it’s not something to take lightly! Here is a top 10 list of how NOT to run a marathon- any marathon.
I ran one marathon- one and done, fo’ sho’!- and I pretty much did everything wrong.
However, YOU won’t make that mistake because YOU are going to research the crap out of everything before you decide to run a marathon, right? Right.
Top 10 List: How NOT to Run The Walt Disney World Marathon
Things to consider:
- The right shoes and clothes are key. Figure that out!
- Find a running coach or at least someone who can help you through those training slumps. You need support.
- Figure out the fuel options. You’ll want something on those 26.2 miles to keep your body going.

I am signed up for Dopey and of course 2 weeks into training I sprained my toe :( I'm hoping it will be better soon and I can jump right back in to training. I run half marathons regularly so I'm thinking it will be okay to pick up a little later in the training but it still makes me nervous!
