REAL Bathrooms on the Disneyland Half Marathon Course
I have a particular set of skills. I always know where the closest bathroom is at Disneyland, no matter where I am. And you’ll probably want to take advantage of this information for the next race! Here is a list of all the real bathrooms on the Disneyland Half Marathon course (2024).

Real Bathrooms On The Disneyland Half Marathon Course
When you run Disney, you get to run through the theme parks.
It’s a pretty cool experience that offers almost 5 miles of Disneyland park time that you can only get through runDisney races.
One of the benefits to doing this, besides being coated in pixie dust and sweat!- are the “real” bathroom options.
Here’s the plan to skip the port-o-potties and hold out until you run through the parks to take advantage of real potties with real sinks!

You’ll also find a lot of resources in the 411 Guide for Disneyland runDisney.
runDisney Disneyland Half Marathon Bathrooms: Disney California Adventure
The race starts and ends in a parking lot between Harbour Blvd and Manchester.
Portapotties will be available in this starting area, but if you can’t stand to use them, hold out until you enter Disney California Adventure.
The following mile markers are approximate based on the map above.
We should be entering on-stage at DCA through the gates next to Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout.
- Mile 1.5 – Hollywood Land. This will be your first on-course bathroom option. Just past the Hyperion Theater, a set of bathrooms will be on the right side.
- Mile 1.8- Hollywood Blvd bathrooms. These will be on the left side of the course. If you run past Disney Jr Dance Party, you run past the bathrooms!
- Mile 2.25- Avengers Campus bathrooms. These are located between WEB Slingers and Pym’s.
- Mile 2.35- Cars Land. It’s located right behind Flo’s Diner and is a pretty big bathroom. There are typically a lot of ladies in line here, but as usual, men can breeze in and out. You’ll have to peel off course a bit to get to it (to the left).
- Mile 2.5- Jessie’s Critter Carousel. Your next option is the bathrooms right by the Carousel and California Screamin’. It’s a bit behind the Carousel, so you’ll have to return to it. I stopped here one year as Jessie and Woody were in the same area. My family stood in the character line while I made a quick pit stop. By the time I was finished, it was time to meet some characters!
- Mile 2.75 – The Paradise Gardens bathrooms are available, but these are a bit off-course. On your left!
- Mile 3- Ariels Grotto Bathrooms. Just past Ariel’s, there is one last bathroom in Disney California Adventure. Before you turn left towards Grizzly River Rapids, there is a set of bathrooms on the right.
- Possible Bonus bathroom: Directly across from Soarin’ is another bathroom (on the right). The course looks to exit DCA before you pass Soarin’ so I’m not convinced these will be available for you to get to. But I’m adding it just in case!
runDisney Disneyland Half Marathon Bathrooms: Disneyland Park
We’ll be entering this park on Main Street, USA.
- Mile 3.2- City Hall. There are bathrooms to the left by City Hall, similar to where Disney World’s toilets are located.
- Mile 3.2- Before Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln. The far-right tunnel into Disneyland also has a bathroom before you pass Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Peel off to the right immediately after going under the train tunnel.
- Bonus Bathroom: A “secret” single-stall bathroom is behind the Tour Garden gazebo at the left train tunnel entrance. But I’m not sure this one will be accessible or open during the race. But if you want to peel off and check it out, it exists!
- Mile 3.30- Carnation Cafe bathrooms. Right before you see the Carnation Cafe, there are a set of bathrooms set off to the left of Main Street, USA.
- Mile 3.4- Plaza Inn bathrooms. Just past the Plaza Inn, you can hit bathrooms before running through Tomorrow Land.
- Mile 3.5- Alice and Wonderland bathrooms. These bathrooms are some of my personal favorite! They are located on the side of the castle right before the Alice and Wonderland ride. You’ll run in front of the Matterhorn and the bathrooms will be right in front of you.
- Mile 3.75- Bathrooms are located between Adventureland and Frontierland. As you exit the Disneyland hub you will turn right. On the left-hand side, there is a set of bathrooms as you enter Frontier Land.
- Mile 4.2- Hungry Bear Restaurant bathrooms. As you pass the Hungry Bear, there is a relatively big set of bathrooms on the left-hand side. The bathrooms are on the lower level, which you should be running right past.
- Mile 4.5- Galaxy’s Edge bathrooms. There are bathrooms in Galaxy’s Edge, but I don’t think they are super accessible from the race course. If you know where they are, you can try to get to them as you go through Batuu.
- Mile 4.75- Toontown bathrooms. I think these will be your last easy set of bathrooms before you exit the park.
- Possible Bonus Bathroom: This one may not be accessible, but a bathroom is near the Fantasyland Theatre. You would exit Toontown and the bathrooms are up a hill a little bit toward the theater. If you run past Small World, you have passed your last in-park bathroom option!

Patty Holliday has been running Disney since 2011. She knows just about every tip, trick, and hack there is to cover the runDisney Magical Miles at Disney World and Disneyland. She knows every mile isn’t *always* magical- but with training, tips, and a little bit of pixie dust, they can be a lot of fun! You can also find her at noguiltlife.com and noguiltfangirl.com
Tomorrowland’s bathroom is very off course (or maybe it’s only really off course when you get list trying to find it, otherwise it’s just off course) (well, if you are running for time and/or trying to beat the heat) but it’s there.
That one is so far off- even for park goers!- that I decided to leave it off. It’s just not convenient at all, is it?
I wish I found this before the races! Ive been to DL a few times, but still don’t know the parks like the back of my hand like I do at WDW & was worried about this during the 10k. Do you have guides for the other races, even at WDW? I also wish there was one for water fountains since I need water like crazy during a race. 😉
I have never run any Disney events color but if I do with this is a great resource! Bathrooms always deserve their own guide.
My biggest fear is having to use the bathroom during a race. Of course I had to stop during my first WDW marathon because come on, its 26.2 miles and i was out there for over 5 hours! I got through my second marathon without stopping though.
There’s one between the Jungle Cruise and Tiki Room, but it’s hard to know what the course will be. That course map doesn’t provide any detail for the parks.
Very helpful guide! I haven’t run a race in Disneyland and I usually try to avoid the bathrooms during a race unless it’s a real emergency, lol!
This looks like a great resource for people running Disney. I imagine there are a lot of distractions that make finding your way challenging during the race.
SO happy to have found this page. Running the half as a new adventure/challenge since that week last year, my son was born! This is some great info. Thanks for posting and see you there!
Hi Patty! This is very helpful, a good reference. It’s a struggle to find a bathroom when running in a huge place like Disney. haha Itching to run soon! 😉
