2024 Springtime Surprise Themes Announced
On 626 Day, no less! The first announcement for the next Springtime Surprise has been released and we know there’s a bunch of crazy alien lovers who are pumped! Here’s what we know about the 2023 Springtime Surprise themes and what we’re still waiting to hear.

Here’s what we know about the 2023 Springtime Surprise themes.
Stitch’s ‘Ohana Challenge: 19.3 Miles
Up first: the challenge.
If you run all three races this weekend, you’ll be running Stitch’s ‘Ohana Challenge.
For Stitch lovers who have been dying to see him front and center: this is your time!
But remember, to get the Stitch medal, you’ll need to sign up for the challenge when runDisney registration opens- and run all three races.

Say “aloha” to Stitch’s ‘Ohana Challenge, just one of the exciting events coming to the runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend. Inspired by Disney Animation’s Lilo & Stitch, challenge participants will blast off to the finish line of all three races during the weekend – the 5K, 10K and 10-Miler – and be rewarded with a special medal that celebrates the magic of being together.
Stitch did have a WHOLE runDisney race weekend out in Disneyland in 2014.
And the medals were pretty cute (plus we had a bunch of Elvis impersonators on the 10K course which was kinda hilarious to me)
More 2023 Springtime Surprise Themes
While we don’t know the next set of themes, we do have confirmation that the Springtime Surprise will continue with the 5K, 10K and 10-Miler race formats.
No word just yet if Springtime Surprise Yoga is coming back for 2023.
When will we know more about the themes?
Welp, sticking to THIS race weekend theme- it’s a surprise! But runDisney promises more to come soon.
Look out for more surprises to come, including the full reveal of all the friends from different daring Disney tales that will be joining us for the race weekend.
When I hear “daring Disney tales”, I can’t help but think we might see Duck Tales, Chip and Dale’s Rescue Rangers, or maybe even a Neverland theme. Some folks are saying they see Lion King and Up.
