As much as I’d like to claim that I’m crafty and can sew my own face mask, the truth is I’m not. Not even close! But I do have friends who are super talented and they are making the most magical face masks on earth. Look, there’s no reason face masks can’t show your Disney Side! Here’s where you can buy a surgical style Disney Face Mask.

CDC Face Mask Recommendations
I know it’s a little bit scary out there and there’s a lot of confusion on what a face mask is for and how it can help.
Current CDC guidelines suggest the following when it comes to wearing face masks in public:
- CDC says we should be wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies), especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.
- It is critical to emphasize that maintaining 6-feet social distancing remains important to slowing the spread of the virus.
- Cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home from common materials at low cost can be used as an additional, voluntary public health measure.
So the good news is that any form of cloth covering can work.
The better news: there are Disney face masks being made out of adorable Disney fabrics.
Why Buy a Face Mask? Why Disney?
As you know, I’m a fangirl with many loves and Disney just might be my biggest fandom.
And right now, finding something that makes us smile in any form is a welcome distraction. I’ll take my Disney at home any way I can get it!
Buying a Disney face mask was bound to happen over here.
While we don’t know what the future holds for runDisney races or Disney World or Disneyland visits, I could see wearing a face mask at the park as an appropriate precaution.
Who knows? It might even be a requirement going forward.
In a culture that loves custom Disney shirts, it just makes sense that we’ll hit the parks in our custom Disney face masks when the time comes.
And if that doesn’t come to be? Cool- my neighbors are used to seeing me run around in DIY runDisney costumes so sporting my Small World Disney face mask won’t seem out of character here!
Where To Buy A Disney Face Mask
A fellow runDisney enthusiast Jessica Morris has temporarily turned her ears shop into a surgical style Disney face mask factory for the time being.
Don’t worry: you can still get some adorable ears and even these great Disney tumblers from RunShine!
But she shared this post on Facebook explaining why she decided to make masks in the first place.
And I immediately knew two things.
One, I wanted to share her efforts and her generosity and two, I needed a couple of these Disney fabric face masks for myself!

I had an overwhelmingly positive response with this yesterday in my group Ears by RunShine, so I’m posting this to my wall and making it public so that you can share it with others.

💗Hello everyone! Due to an unforeseen demand in the need for face coverings, I have decided to offer a selection of them in my shop. I made a little video to give a better understanding of my feelings on this matter.
The important takeaway is that no, you do not need a designer fabric face covering at this price point.
In fact you can make a covering yourself out of materials found around your house (I will link a tutorial in this post).
However, I have come to realize that perhaps having something cute or comforting in a situation like this may make it all a little more bearable.
For every face covering purchased through my website, I will make a second one to donate to medical personnel and first responders.
Please note that these face coverings serves the purpose of meeting the requirement of covering your face. They are not medical grade.
As soon as mine arrives, I’ll share a fun selfie sporting my Disney side face mask!
For every mask you order, Jessica is making an extra one. She’s donating them to someone on the front lines who needs face coverings the most. I love that in some small way, these bright masks could be helping the fight against this virus.
And supporting small businesses is always a worthwhile cause.
Thanks, Jessica, for doing this and for being awesome- and see you on the course again real soon!
Patty Holliday has been running Disney since 2011. She knows just about every tip, trick, and hack there is to cover the runDisney Magical Miles at Disney World and Disneyland. She knows every mile isn’t *always* magical- but with training, tips, and a little bit of pixie dust, they can be a lot of fun! You can also find her at noguiltlife.com and noguiltfangirl.com
