runDisney Wine and Dine Medals for 2017
Take a trip around the World- Disney World, that is- with the runDisney Wine and Dine medals for 2017.
The creative team took a left turn somewhere and came up with this clever travel related design for the 2017 medals.
As a traveler who also runs- I’m digging the change.
Sure, it’s very different from the old days of Wine and Dine medals, but I don’t think change is always a bad thing.

Patty Holliday has been running Disney since 2011. She knows just about every tip, trick, and hack there is to cover the runDisney Magical Miles at Disney World and Disneyland. She knows every mile isn’t *always* magical- but with training, tips, and a little bit of pixie dust, they can be a lot of fun! You can also find her at noguiltlife.com and noguiltfangirl.com
These medals are growing on me! I didn’t care for them at first glance, but the more I see them, the more I’m glad that runDisney is willing to take risks on their medal design!
I just noticed the start location for the wine and dine 10K and half listed as Magic Kingdom for this race.
With all of your run Disney insight – was curious if you have seen a race start at Magic Kingdom or will this be a new course.
Disney Wine & Dine 10K
Start: Magic Kingdom® Parking Lot
Finish: Epcot®
Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon
Start: Magic Kingdom® Parking Lot
Finish: Epcot®
I believe this is how the race started last year as well. I didn’t run it, but I want to say this course was used for Wine and Dine 2016 as well as Star Wars Dark Side 2017. People seem to like it— they still want the night race, though!
