Know before you go: these 10 Essential Tips For the Princess Half Marathon will ensure the first time runDisney participant has the knowledge they need to have a royally good time at the races. Running at Disney World is a very different experience- magical and all that; as long as you know what you’re in for!
So you think you’re a Princess?
You’re about to find out just what that means when you cross the start line at the Princess Half Marathon Weekend!
You might be excited or gassy, or somewhere in that zone, I get it.
I remember that feeling well- of course, I was also 6 months pregnant for my first Princess, so that was probably an accurate description of things!
So, yeah, that was me. Oh so long ago.
Every year around this time things tend to get heated on social media.
It’s easy to see why: folks are curious, they are nervous, they want to plan ahead, and they want to know what to expect.
They have #allthequestions and need #alltheanswers.
Again, I get it! That was me.
That’s why I started this blog in the first place.
Back in 2011, there was very little information about the Princess Half Marathon.
And certainly, little of it that related to me: a back of the pack older mother runner. And when I was finished that year, I swore I’d never be back!
Welp. We all know how THAT turned out.
Over the years and miles, I’ve learned a lot about this event.
I know what can go wrong, what might go wrong, what will go wrong, and how to avoid a lot of those things. And I also know why I keep going back.
Spoiler alert: because it’s a BLAST.
