The Princess Half Marathon Weekend Overview
First things first, this event is like the ultimate Disney dream.
It’s happening from February 20-23, 2025, at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
It’s not just a race; it’s a whole weekend packed with magical experiences, including races of different lengths, themed yoga, and fun challenges.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner or a newbie, there’s something for everyone.
The Princess Half weekend was my runDisney gateway race, so be warned: you may become obsessed. I still love it for a lot of reasons, but in case you are concerned, here are some reasons NOT to run the Princess Half Marathon weekend.
2025 Princess Half Marathon Weekend Royal Events
5K Race: If you’re just starting or want to take it easy, the 5K is perfect. It’s a fun, family-friendly race that takes you through some of Disney’s most iconic spots.
Plus, you get to dress up as your favorite princess and make unforgettable memories!
Mulan is your princess for this race! The race medal and shirt will be Mulan-inspired.
10K Race: Looking for something a bit more challenging? The 10K race is where it’s at.
You’ll cover more ground and see even more of the park. It’s a great middle-ground for those who want more than a 5K but aren’t quite ready for a half marathon.
Plus the 10K seems to have the BEST characters in the past few years, so we fully support running this one.
Jasmine will be your Princess for this race weekend in 2025.
Half Marathon: This is the crown jewel of the weekend.
The 13.1-mile race winds through the parks, and let me tell you, running through Cinderella Castle is a moment you’ll never forget.
The energy, the costumes, the spectators cheering you on – it’s pure magic.
I cannot stress this enough: if you want a beginner-friendly first half marathon, this is the race for you. But be warned: it’s a slower race for the most part, meaning that a lot of folks use this as their first dip into longer races. There will be crowding.
Aurora is the Princess for the 2025 Princess Half Marathon.
Royal Challenges
Fairy Tale Challenge: If you’re up for a real test, sign up for the Fairy Tale Challenge.
You’ll run the 10K on Saturday and the Half Marathon on Sunday.
Completing both gets you a special challenge medal – and major bragging rights!
Plus: SNOW WHITE is your princess. And as the OG princess, this is a medal you will cherish forever if you happen to be a Disney royalty stan.
Enchanted Extras
Yoga: End the weekend with a calming, themed yoga session right in front of Cinderella Castle.
It’s the perfect way to stretch out, relax, and soak in your accomplishments after the races are over.

Why You Should Do This
- Magical Experience: Seriously, where else can you run through Disney parks dressed as your favorite princess?
- Characters on the Course: You get to meet SO many of your faves, mid-race! Stop for those pics; you’ll love everything about your hot sweaty mess!
- Gorgeous Medals: The medals are stunning and totally worth the effort.
- Community: You’ll meet so many amazing people and fellow Disney fans. It’s like one big, supportive family. I fell in love with the community in 2011 and have never regretted a moment. Well, except when the credit card bill comes in. Ooof. How much do runDisney races cost? A lot.
So, what do you think? Are you ready to don your tiara and join me for this unforgettable weekend?
