First and foremost- CONGRATULATIONS to all the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend runners!  It’s Sum It Up Sunday the Dopey Edition.

I’ve been watching you through the glorious social media channels and cheering you on.  Amazeballs.

If you went Dopey this weekend, I’d love to hear how you are feeling!  Not right now, because most of y’all are still running.  Unless you’re like me and you like to Tweet-And-Run.  Once you’ve gotten your bling, did your post race process, and have a minute to rest I hope you come by and let us know how it went.

I’m not going to go all high and mighty here, but, come on.  Hire a proof reader, please.  It’s getting embarrassing.

Yes, you can go through my blog and tweets and find plenty of mistakes.  I’m not pretending to be perfect.

But.

I’m also NOT runDisney.  Mistakes like this just shouldn’t happen:

And the Princess Half Marathon email updates arrived.  Yay— we saw the new Dooney!

But, um, yeah, the link… it’s not helpful.  It goes to the order form for the Walt Disney World Marathon weekend.

Sadly these aren’t one time mistakes.  Last year there was an email talking about the Dumbo Double Date Challenge.  The reason I point these mistakes out is that it’s hard to stand behind a product that you love so much for it’s professionalism when it’s NOT being very professional.  It’s not just me, is it?

Oh… and let’s not forget Tinker Bell.   

Tinker who? Yep.  That’s how I imagine things go down over in rD headquarters.  No official word on Tink Dooneys, and no official word on Tink Half Meet-Up.

Regarding the Meet-Up:  I’m guessing isn’t happening.  Most likely you can resume your regularly scheduled lives and step away from the Disney Parks Blog.  But it would sure be nice if this information was simply released or addressed via Twitter.  I think we only “expected” to have a meet-up attached to every race because there has been one for at every 13.1 mile race for the past 2 years.   Having attended a few of them, I can say they were the most magical part of the weekend and I sincerely hope they make a comeback whenever runDisney is ready to hold them again.

Maybe this is why Tink has been moved to Mother’s Day.

Moving
There’s probably only one more of these updates coming your way!  Yes, I will rejoice as well.  It’s been talked about since, oh, August?  Clearly I like to pace myself.  In all things, I move slowly, right?

The good news: we are closer to actually getting out of this house. And I’m a bit sad about it, of course.  The kids are having a huge going away/birthday party today.  It was a last minute Oh-My-Lawd-this-is-their-last-weekend-here type thing.  So it was of course thrown together with pretty much no plans other than a big ole cookie cake and pizza.  A Pinterest-Mom I am not.  Wish me luck!

Disneyland Holiday Recaps

I know I promised and I will get them written just as soon as possible!  I plan is to blog the next 2-3 days between figuring out my Tink Half costume, packing for Tink, packing 4 kids to go to Arizona, driving to Arizona, and finding the kids a new school.  Easy Peasy.

My FAVORITE race is almost upon us!  I’m completely 100% excited about the brand new 10K race and even more excited about my costume.  Four of us created this one so if you see us on the course, say hi!

I’m working on the half marathon costume.  I have about 3 days to pull it together before I leave.  Boba Fett, Chewbacca, Sorcerer Mickey, or… just me.  I even toyed with trying to pull off Goofy but I think I am officially out of time via Amazon Prime to get anything delivered.

Oh hey- go ahead and ask when I last ran.   bahahahahahaha

Yeah… it’s really all about the costumes and the pictures.  Time?  Pssshhhhhhaaaaawwwww.  If you see the 16 minute mile pacers anywhere near me, can you remind me to get moving?  Thanks.  I have a feeling I may have a new experience to blog about: outrunning the sweeper bikes!

I won’t even promise to be well trained for Princess Half Marathon, but I *will* promise to be in a better place by the time Dumbo Double Dare Challenge rolls around!
