The runDisney 2017 Princess Half Marathon Medals have been released.

I love how they took the theme of Beauty and the Beast and created individual medals that tie in perfectly.

Best medals yet! My child is a little disappointed in the kids medal, she was hoping for Lumiere and for it to be metal instead of rubber.....we were hopeful after the gorgeous medals given in the virtual short races series that all medals would now be made of metal. Oh well, great job RunDisney, I can't wait to see the shirts!!!!

I saw these and was instantly excited. And then felt disappointment in the half medal. I just miss the elegance and relative subtle design of the previous medals. They weren't so blatantly about the theme of that year, but you could definitely tell who they connected to. I get that Disney wants to make them more unique to keep people coming back, but I just thought they might do it after the 10th anniversary. LOVE all the others though!

As a long time Princess runner, I think they needed to make the change. I specifically did not sign up for the half because I didn't think I "needed" yet another tiara medal to go with my other 6! And now I wish I had registered because I love the half medal. lol
Funny how we all have different takeaways from things!
