The Secret runDisney Playlist Hiding in Plain Sight
I’ve found the way to help you run through the summer with a secret RunDisney playlist on Spotify. Basically, it’s been hiding in plain sight!
Or sound.
Or something like that.
If you’re running the virtual races this year, this is one you’ll love!
Last week I put a call out in one of my Facebook running groups asking for playlist help.
When I upgraded my phone recently, iTunes decided I should upgrade my playlist too.
Apparently, it thought my old Glee heavy music was way too 2012 and that I needed to move on.
Fair enough.
Did y’all know Gold Digger was by Kanye and NOT Mr. Shue?
Ahem… so, yeah. Fair enough, iTunes.
One of my friends saw the very long list growing in that Facebook group and clued me into a super short cut.
runDisney recently uploaded a playlist for their Virtual Race series to Spotify.
It’s a little over an hour long and filled with great Disney songs that will keep you running.
This playlist has a ton of great songs. Life is a Highway, Where You Are, Set it Off, and Surf City to name a few.
My favorite is Getcha Head in the Game from High School Musical, of course!
If you haven’t guessed already, my taste in music is pretty pathetic. I own it.
But really, Troy Bolton singing me to a new PR sounds like a pretty solid running plan.
runDisney playlist on Spotify may not be new to you, but if it is: there’s a sweet deal right now. $.99 for the first three months.
You can stream songs or download them- which I recommend for runDisney events. Trying to stream at the starts of those races will get you nowhere!
And no one wants to have a tech fail right before your big race.
Who is earning those virtual medals this year? Can’t wait to see them!
Patty Holliday has been running Disney since 2011. She knows just about every tip, trick, and hack there is to cover the runDisney Magical Miles at Disney World and Disneyland. She knows every mile isn’t *always* magical- but with training, tips, and a little bit of pixie dust, they can be a lot of fun! You can also find her at noguiltlife.com and noguiltfangirl.com
