How to Get Extra FastPasses at Disney World (Legit!)
Have you ever wanted extra FastPasses? Beginning January 12th, 2018, guests staying Club Level rooms at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels can purchase a theme park extra for $50 plus tax, per guest, per day as part of a new pilot program. 3-day minimum tickets are required.
This is not to be confused with another new program that allows Disney Springs Hotels FastPass access which was recently launched.
This program is for onsite guests staying in Club-level rooms and you can purchase this extra if you have a minimum 3-day park ticket or an annual pass.
If you’re still a little unfamiliar with how the program works, be sure to check out Patty’s review of the FastPass+ Program here as well as her second review here with a little more information!
The pilot program that was recently announced includes the following perks:
Three additional FastPass+ selections per day
FastPass+ attractions and entertainment experiences, the number of selections you can make and available arrival windows are limited.
This is the big one… that doubles your family’s ride selections for the day.
When you look at a park like Animal Kingdom – essentially you can set up Fast Passes for 50% of the experiences.
That is a game-changer when it comes to planning your day at the park!
Reserve three additional FastPass+ selections in more than one theme park.
Obviously – when a valid Park Hopper option is also purchased with the ticket.
Another BIG deal.
One of my biggest annoyances with the Fast Pass program is that I am a major Park Hopper.
I like to start my morning at one park and finish it up in another one.
Sometimes, selecting three passes for one park really makes me stabby… I can’t tell you how many times I’ve skipped out on my Fast Pass for Spaceship Earth.? I book it because I have it!
With this program, you can book morning passes at one park, and evening passes at another.
I like it!
90 days in advance for these three additional FastPass+ selections.
As well as the ability to book them at multiple top-tier attractions. Guests may not repeat the same FastPass+ attraction during a single day.
HOLD THE PHONE.
Being able to book some of the passes 90 days in advance is definitely an incredible perk… and being able to pick two Tier 1 rides makes it even better.
Our family is constantly struggling with priorities – do we do Soarin’ or Test Track? Rock n Roller Coaster, or Toy Story Mania?!
With this program, we won’t have to choose.
Preferred viewing location for nighttime spectaculars, one per day.
This includes Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom Park, Illuminations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot, Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Rivers of Light at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Advanced reservation is required and availability of each nighttime spectacular preferred viewing location is limited.
Fireworks are my jam, yall. This makes me so happy!
One of my favorite FastPass+ selections back in the day was preferred viewing for Wishes… I think I was the only one who was VERY sad when it went away!
For me, this sets the program over the top!
What does this mean for the regular folk?
Don’t worry – all theme park guests with valid theme park admission will still receive up to three FastPass+ selections at a single park, per day, at no extra cost… as well as an additional day-of in-park selection that can be redeemed after all FastPasses are used.
I also think it is important to note that the program is VERY limited, so I don’t think that the extra selections will impact regular FastPass+ selections much, if at all.
In order to be eligible for the ticket extra, you must be staying on the Club Level at a Deluxe Resort on property.
Plus, the additional cost is $50 plus tax, per person, per day.? For a family of four – this is an additional $200+ each day!? So while the program is definitely awesome, it is pretty pricey…
