runDisney Announces the 2014 Avengers Half Marathon #SmashTheHalf

Sharing is caring!

runDisney will host the Avengers for a 5k and Half Marathon.  And it’s going to be held in Disneyland!  Hulk says: #SmashTheHalf!

You know how disappointed I, and many others, were when runDisney  made the change to the Tinker Bell Half Marathon.  I kept saying if they replace Tink with Star Wars, I’d totally forgive them.  Close enough. Who doesn’t love a good Super Hero?

I know my comic book loving husband Mr. Shenanigans will be on board with these races.   Will you be joining us?

My BFF is Avengers obsessed, so I'll be there! I'm still trying to figure out how to budget for Wine & Dine, Avengers, and Marathon weekend though. Register now and figure out the finances later? ;)

Yes! This leaves the door open for a Star Wars race to be put in the TinkerBell January calendar slot.

I've been so over Disney, now they pull this! OY! Registration is on a Tuesday, so I'll be at work. I can't play Black Friday and sit in front of my computer refreshing my screen until the race opens. If it sells out before I get home, that may be that. I expect another $200 registration fee, so the few weeks leading up to it may make me rethink doing it, but I'm definitely leaning towards it.

I'm going to do everything I can to find the money to register for this race! I'm so excited that runDisney is giving the west coast some more love! Plus, I love the Avengers! This might be the race I make an annual thing. Of course, if they add a Star Wars themed race out here as well in January, I'll have some tough decisions to make. For now, I'm just happy to know that there are 3 runDisney races in my area to choose from.

The Wine & Dine Festival ends November 10 anyway, so We'll be jetting off November 11 and then turning around to fly to California. The question is, do I get on a plane and fly to Vegas around noon to run in the RnRLV?
