Favorite Medals | Tuesday’s on the Run
This one is going to be short and sweet with lots of bling. Tuesday’s on the Run is all about your favorite race medals. Be sure to link up with us!
Runners love to show off the medals they earn and I’m no exception. I have to admit that the bling isn’t quite the draw it once was for me, but I still sign up for races with medals that appeal. Guilty.
Here are a few of my favorites from this past year:
I sometimes think my favorite medal is the one I earned last. I love all three of these medals because they symbolized a bit of a fight to finish for me.
I just came off the flu and while I felt well, I was still exhausted. This set of medals was earned by sheer will. With a healthy dose of post running naps for survival.
These symbolize one of my favorite race weekends. Full of good friends and lots of shenanigans at my happy place, Disneyland.
That awful gold glove? I kinda love it now. I never thought I would say that!
All three of these medals are special to me. The first one was the worst and best experience of my life. I was dreading those miles but in the end was proud to finish them.
The far right medal was earned after an unhealthy dose of mental angst I put on myself. What was worse than running a marathon? In my head it was running another half the weekend after!
Turned out that race was lovely. Who knew?!
The coast to coast medal is one my Disney-loving heart finds particularly satisfying.
And of course, my favorite medal ever.
It’s not just because it was my marathon. I also happen to love everything about this classy design. The ribbon color and the solid feel and look of Mickey makes me happy.
What are your favorite medals? Would love to hear the story behind them!
