Breaking news for Disney Princess Half cruise lovers: you’ve been challenged! That’s right, runDisney is looking for YOU to take a royal cruise after your races to earn a 5K challenge medal on Castaway Cay.
I don’t think Anastasia and Drizella are invited. They look pretty annoyed by this announcement, don’t you think?

Think you’ll see these characters on your cruise?
Are you taking your Glass Slipper & tiara for a cruise & 5K? Do you think runDisney will be adding challenges after every race?
ETA: wait- there’s more!
Anyone hear about this movie called Frozen? Well, your 5k and kids races are rumored to be Frozen themed! Look for the news this week (I heard tomorrow is the release date) and be SURE To register for the 5K as soon as you can.
Remember how I waited until 2 weeks before the race last year to register? With Frozen as the theme, that won’t be possible. Children 5 and up are eligible to run the Royal Family 5K and I suspect if the Frozen gals are on the course, this sucker is going to sell out FAST.
I ran the “Triple Crown” last year and loved it. Will this news change your mind about the 5K?

Plus, there’s an extra challenge for this year…the Castaway Cay Challenge for those that think taking a Disney cruise right after the Princess Half Marathon Weekend is a fantastic idea and register to run the Castaway Cay 5K. Patty at My No Guilt Life writes about that here. […]

Ok, this is not fair. I signed up for Goofy and decided I wasn't doing Princess, but Frozen is my absolute fav! I live in Seattle, how can I make the trip twice???? I've also just finished a strong margarita which is making everything much more dramatic. Curse you rundisney!!! (Not really, I still love you)

Awh man, I really want to do a Disney Cruise too. It's one of those must do things on my list. It's inexcusable that I live in Florida and still have never done a cruise at all! And Frozen themed 5k! I'm gonna be so jealous of those pictures and medals!
