This is going to be a quick post as I am running out the door to make my flight!
Packing? Doesn’t that consist of dumping everything you own into a HUGE suitcase and calling it good?
It does around here. Ahem.
I had a hard time being creative this go around, but with a little help from my costume loving friends, I think I pulled off some cute ideas!
I’ll post a “How I Made This” later this week since I got a little crafty with the helmet for my Endor costume and my Zensah’s for the Rebel Pilot costume. Zensah challenged me to go from #WhiteToBright and I think I pulled it off! Red 5, standing by!
Okay- on with the show!
Star Wars 5K
This one is my favorite, but it’s also the one that might not hold together too long. So it’s getting the nod for the 5K and possibly the Wookiee Welcome Party tonight.
Thanks goes out to Katy and Nicole for the brilliant idea and gift of fabric for this one! I love it.
Leia on a speeder bike- what’s not to love, right?
Star Wars 10K
This one is special. And by special I mean, well… meesa thinks it’s hilarious.
YES, I’m going there and NO, I don’t even like Jar Jar. I figure in a sea of R2D2 and Darth Vader costumes I might stand out and make you laugh.
Hmmm… yousa point is well seen.
Star Wars Half Marathon
As is my usual, I tend to pick the most runner friendly costume for the longest distance.
I won’t be making the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs so I better be comfortable out there on the course.
Open call to any fellow Rebel Pilots: we are trying to get a Squadron together for a pre-half marathon picture at 4:15am near the stage. I know there will be other groups meeting for a picture so look for me over by the left hand side (hopefully out of the way and hopefully with a sign). R2D2 or any other droids are welcome too!
Are we ready to do this? I’m not as trained up as I’d like to be, but I am excited for the trip!
Let’s go to a galaxy far, far away!
Will you be at Star Wars? What race are you looking forward to running?
