Thank the Maker! runDisney Announces Star Wars Races in Disneyland
Remember that time I reported “confirmations” of a Star Wars runDisney race from a Disneyland cast member? She also said we would see an Avengers race coming- and you know what happened there. She sounded pretty credible. And confident.
People scoffed.
runDisney denied.
Well, it looks like she was right.
runDisney just broke the news. The races will be held in Disneyland over the Martin Luther King, Jr weekend.
Details, details…ooohhh… but I’ll get my Coast to Coast, right?
By the way- you are welcome. My original plan was to forgo Marathon weekend in the hopes that this news would come out. I knew- just knew!– that as soon as I signed up for something as insane as running a marathon runDisney would decide to run Star Wars in place of Tinker Bell. I may have to reconsider Goofy – I have to be honest here. Star Wars trumps the Goofy races in my world hands down. And if it comes down to money, well, I might have to push a WDW trip back a year. Thank goodness for deferments!
Time to work on my proof of time NOW, how about you?
UPDATED: from the runDisney Blog.
Our newest race weekend comes to Disneyland® Resort, January 15-18, 2015! In addition to the Half Marathon, the event will include a 10K, 5K, Kids Races, Wookiee Welcome Party and an Expo. Wield your lightsabers in the Rebel Challenge and you’ll be rewarded for completing both the Half Marathon and the 10K.
Sign up for the runDisney email to be notified when registration opens at Noon ET on Tuesday, June 10. May the Course be with you!
