Awesome, thanks! And I don't like going past the race distance either in training. For the princess half, I just went to 12.5 in training and was fine for the half!

It's interesting that they throw in a 14 miler in the Dumbo plan. I've always been told that going farther than race distance is asking for injury, but I know there's a lot of argument there on both sides. It's making me wish I'd signed up for it. Maybe next year. This year I've got people coming into town to do Disneyland with me. Thanks for posting! I think I'll print it out and save it.

Galloway always has the 14 miler in his plans. I know a lot of runners who need it more mentally than physically? I usually go to 12 myself.

Not at all. The official one is an interesting plan. The most the back to back runs go are 5 miles and 14 miles. The back to back runs are every other week (adding 1.5 miles each time) and the long runs for the weeks in between are only 4 miles. IMO, it's too big a jump to add 1.5 miles every other week to the longest run, especially when the other runs are only ~4 miles max. I'll probably do a more in depth analysis of the training plan on my blog. :)
