I’ve been so crazy busy trying to get my family moved that I’ve hardly had time to reflect on this weekend. It’s happening- I’m at the airport NOW- and I can’t WAIT to get this party started!
Probably the only time I’ll be first this whole weekend! |
The Tinker Bell Half is my favorite of all the runDisney races! I may have mentioned that a time or two. This weekend is extra special as I’m spending it with some of my DisBroads- most are visiting Disneyland for their first time ever! I hope they love it like I love it. And if they don’t, well, I still love them AND Walt Disney World, so we can still be friends. Maybe.
I haven’t run in… ohhh… lets just say a week. Or more. Okay, crap, like 3 weeks. Yeah. Bad Shenanigans. So you know how this ends up… the race that turned more into a really long but fun walk. Either way, it’s exercise, and I get bling at the end. So I’m good with it.
I have a killer 10K costume.
Club 33 China Plate |
And options for my half costume. I tried really hard to pull something together. It’s been a big fail. I can’t quite pick what will feel best and look great during my 13.1 miles on Sunday. I asked the DisBroads to pick and of course, they told me I was cute in all of them (except one- they really hated my version of Boba Fett so that one was left at home). I literally have 3 versions of outfits shoved in the suitcase and just hope something “speaks” to me on Sunday morning.
As you can tell by my silly expressions, I just am not sure what I’m feeling for this race. Chewy is the lead right now, but that shirt is HUGE and it’s cotton and… bah. Fuzzy leg warmers?! Looks fun but not sure how much fun it’s going to be to run in! Chewy would also include a Fuzzy Chewy hat (waiting to be purchased at Disneyland).
R2D2 can be a royal blue sparkle skirt or a silver one (kinda liking the blue option to give it some color).
The “easiest” one is the Sorcerer Mickey. And right now, easy is sounding REALLY good.
I brought the Boba hat anyway- cause I LOVE it. So if you see the DisBroads walking really far in front of me when I’m wearing it, you’ll know why. #NotFansOfMyHatButWhatever
Help me out guys! What are you wearing? What should I pick? I’m going to be out on the course for a REALLY long time so there will be LOTS of people seeing me… ha ha ha. I want to make sure I entertain them aa bit (but not in the OMG I can’t believe she wore that, doesn’t she have friends to tell her no kind of way).

I think I saw you there. I think it was on Saturday. Were you with another lady dressed in the exact outfit and then met up with another lady that was not in the same outfit right over by Club 33 on Saturday morning?????????

My vote is R2D2. But, have to tell you, I was talking about your Club 33 plate costume at the gym last night. I may have to share your picture--so cool!

I love the creativity of the Club 33 plate. That's AMAZING!
My vote is R2D2 (as long as that top isn't cotton!) Chewy is ADORABLE but I'd say save him for a 10k or less or a cool race.
